This course provides information relating to the incident command system and how it is used to control order and assign resources on wildland fires. The course will survey the methods used to suppress wildland fires, including the use of water, fire retardants, hand crews, bulldozers, aircraft and back firing.
7. CLASS SCHEDULE COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

 

   

This course is an introductory course into wildland fire fighting. All aspects of wild land fire behavior, weather factors and methods used to extinguish and control wildland fires will be covered. Fire prevention, use of hand crews, bulldozers and aircraft and the use and purpose of the incident command system will be included
